| South
Tyneside Churches' KEY Project needs your help in providing
assistance to vulnerable young people in the area. Can
you give a little of your time?
We need people
who are willing to help us develop different aspects
of the organisation. We have working groups on Fundraising
& Strategy, Finance & Bursary Fund, Policy &
Practice and Starter & Emergency Packs. These working
groups play a vital role in ensuring the organisation
functions effectively and is able to provide people
with the help they need when they need it. We are aiming
to establish a Communication working group which will
explore how the organisation continues to raise awareness
about vulnerable and homeless young people in South
Tyneside.
Can
you help?
As with all
voluntary organisations, we are looking for people to
play a role in any of the above working groups. It doesn't
matter how old you are or whether or not you feel you
have the relevant skills as we will provide opportunities
for you to get the skills you need.
You can also
support our work in the following ways
- Contributing to the Starter/Emergency Packs
- Holding a Homelessness Sunday Event (We can provide
you with resources)
- Becoming a Volunteer Mentor
- Joining South Tyneside Action for Youth Network
- Speaking to churches or pupils in schools
- Help in the office for a couple of hours a week
or month
- By your prayers
- By making a financial donation
Please Note:
All potential volunteers will be required to undertake
an Enhanced Disclosure Check. This is done to ensure
the safety of our client groups and volunteers themselves.
